Management of TB Disease
TB disease management involves treatment initiation, monitoring, and follow-up. Standard treatment is six months of multi-drug therapy, while drug-resistant TB requires specific regimens.

Management of TB Disease
Management of TB Disease starts once TB is diagnosed and comprises different stages, from treatment initiation to completion and post-treatment follow-up.
During treatment, there is continuous monitoring including adherence monitoring, clinical and laboratory follow-up, and Adverse Drug Reaction Management.
The treatment course is divided into two phases: the intensive phase and the continuation phase.
Generally, all cases of TB are started on a regimen of six months multi-drug therapy consisting of the four first-line drugs. These may come in various forms, such as FDCs, dispersible tablets, or single-drug tablets.
If the mycobacterium develops drug resistance at any time, the patient is shifted to a corresponding DR-TB regimen.
